AT ROCKS OF SIMEIZ...*
Various ask questions to Valery Anzilov : where he photographers, and what camera, what films he has, and what light he uses? Where he finds the models, how he communicates with them, and also as far as it is difficult (or it is not difficult at all) to convince them to agree to photographing? Certainly all these things are too important, it is to important – because without it we would not can see these works. However it is more important to understand, what induces this person who is all the summer long spending time on depth up to four meters and besides without an aqualung.
Valery Anzylov's film-making season lasts from June till October. The serviceability adjoining to obsession - immersing, one more and still; to have a short rest, discuss conceived and - again in the water. Having started many years ago from photographing the underwater world, within ten years he photographed exclusively the woman and nothing more. « I love the woman and I admire her ». Really, any words for the proof of sincerity are not required. Every thing becomes clear, as soon as you have an opportunity to see the work of the photographer.
Ease and even the carelessness, full of freedom in movements. Every time - improbable naturalness, absence of the slightest hint on stiffness in each photos. And all this – result of several hours of rather labor-consuming and laborious work with set of the diversified nuances: surprisingly exact choice of an underwater view up to an interesting combination of natural and artificial light. Besides do not forget and about such important point, as interaction and mutual understanding between the photographer and model. At photographing there is no opportunity to explain or prompt because process occurs under the water. And agree with me, it is the highest professionalism!
The sincerity never can be too much – it or is, or it is not present in general. Be not afraid to be sincere. In creativity it is visible at once as all talented keeps exclusively on sincerity. And the pictures of Valery Anzilov from Yalta only confirm indisputability of this judgment.
